Acceptance of terms

By creating an account or using WanderPin, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app. WanderPin is currently in early access — expect rough edges, and expect these terms to evolve as the product does.

What WanderPin does

WanderPin lets you save places from social media videos (currently Instagram Reels) to a personal map, and uses AI to help plan trips from the places you've saved. Location detection is AI-assisted and won't always be perfect — you can correct or remove any pin at any time.

Your account

• You sign in with Google. You're responsible for keeping that account secure.
• You must be at least 13 years old to use WanderPin.
• One account per person. Don't share credentials or impersonate someone else.

Acceptable use

Don't use WanderPin to:

• Submit content you don't have the right to share.
• Abuse, overload, or attempt to reverse-engineer the service.
• Use the reel-parsing pipeline to scrape or archive content at scale.
• Violate Instagram's or any other platform's terms of service through your use of the app.

Your content

You keep ownership of the notes, pins, and preferences you create. By submitting a reel URL, you're telling us we can process it (download audio, transcribe it, extract a location) solely to create your pin — see the Privacy Policy for details on how that data is handled. We don't claim ownership of your content and don't publish it anywhere outside your own account.

AI features

Location detection and trip planning are generated by third-party AI models (Groq, Google Gemini). These are tools, not guarantees — AI output can be wrong, incomplete, or occasionally strange. Always use your own judgment before relying on an AI-generated itinerary or pin, especially for anything safety-related like travel logistics.

Service availability

WanderPin is provided “as is.” We're a small, early-stage product — features may change, break, or be removed, and we don't guarantee uninterrupted availability. We'll do our best to give notice before anything that affects your saved data.

Termination

You can stop using WanderPin and delete your account at any time by contacting us (see below). We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, abuse the service, or put other users or the platform at risk.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, WanderPin and its creators aren't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including reliance on AI-generated locations or itineraries. Use good judgment, especially when traveling based on app suggestions.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as WanderPin evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated date. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
